20-inch Diamond cut alloy wheels in the Montabaur design sit two sizes up from the standard 18s and give the Tiguan a planted stance. R-Line sports suspension drops the ride height 15mm over standard, tightening body control without wrecking comfort. Progressive steering quickens the ratio as you add lock, meaning fewer shuffles in tight car parks and a more connected feel when you're pressing on. 4Motion all-wheel drive with Active Control gives you on-demand modes for Snow, Offroad and Road. The system diverts torque rearward before the front wheels slip rather than reacting after, so it keeps grip predictable when the weather turns. LED headlights with automatic main beam and cornering function were standard on R-Line from 2018.
